Hi, I’m Alexa Hassink (she/her).

I bring a decade of senior leadership experience in strategic communications with a focus on gender equity, violence prevention, and human rights.

I’ve led initiatives for nonprofits, foundations, and UN agencies across 55 countries. Some examples of my work, I’ve:

• Facilitated human-centered workshops across the US, Lebanon, Rwanda & Indonesia to align teams around strategy and messaging

• Discovered a new training audience and scoped practical, high-impact comms support to reach them

• Fueled growth — from a 20% year-over-year audience increase at an international nonprofit to a 20% revenue jump at a B Corp

• Led international campaigns that shaped national policy, earned top-tier coverage (NYT, Teen Vogue), and led to a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title

• Built, led, and managed communications teams as well as a best-practice networking group for social impact communicators from 25+ organizations

• Shared insights on global stages including Sustainable Brands, Women Deliver, and the UN Commission on the Status of Women.

Before founding Alexa Hassink Strategies, I served as Director of Partnerships & Strategic Communications for a purpose-driven creative agency in New York, and as Director of Marketing & Communications at an international nonprofit based in Washington, DC, focused on gender equality and healthy masculinity. I served as a Health Educator with the Peace Corps in Morocco, and hold a BA in Communications & Psychology from the University of Delaware.
